Why H2O2 Replaces Chlorine (Cl₂) & NaOCl?
According to QCVN 01:2009/BYT and food safety standards, H2O2 is the superior chlorine-free bleaching choice:
H2O2 35–50% (Hydrogen Peroxide): Decomposes into H₂O + O₂, leaving no toxic chlorine residues. Strong oxidation, effective bleaching for paper, textile dyeing, food, and pharmaceuticals.
Cl₂ (Liquid Chlorine): Forms chloramines and THM (trihalomethanes), suspected carcinogens; unsuitable for direct food/pharmaceutical contact.
NaOCl (Javel Water): Very high pH (~13), corrosive to equipment, forms ClO₃⁻ during storage; limited use in food applications.
Industry Applications & Recommended Concentrations
Industrial Zone Wastewater Treatment: H2O2 50% – dosage 50–200 mg/L depending on input COD; no chlorine sludge formation
Pulp Bleaching: H2O2 35–50%; replaces Cl₂, meets ECF/TCF standards
Food & Beverage (QCVN 01:2009/BYT): Food-grade H2O2 ≤35%; packaging/equipment sterilization; residue <0.1 mg/kg
Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare: H2O2 3–6%; wound disinfection, cleanroom sterilization
Textile Dyeing: H2O2 27.5–35%; fabric/wool/cotton bleaching without fiber damage
Electronics & Semiconductors: H2O2 30–35% high purity; silicon wafer etching and cleaning
Certification & Quality Control
CoA (Certificate of Analysis): Each batch includes CoA verifying purity, actual concentration, and Fe/Cl/SO₄ impurities
MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet): Handling, storage, and emergency response per GHS/OSHA
CO (Certificate of Origin): Origin certification; supports ASEAN/EVFTA preferential C/O
CQ (Certificate of Quality): Import/export quality inspection per Ministry of Industry regulations
QCVN: Complies with QCVN 01:2009/BYT (food-grade hydrogen peroxide) and QCVN 40:2011/BTNMT (wastewater treatment)

Bleaching Agent & Water Treatment Comparison
H2O2 50% – Loc Thien: Strong oxidation (E° = +1.77V), decomposes into H₂O + O₂, no residues, food-safe, QCVN compliant ✅
NaOCl 10% (Javel): pH >13, forms ClO₃⁻, limited food contact, high transport costs due to corrosivity ⚠️
Cl₂ (Liquid Chlorine): High bactericidal efficacy but forms THM/DBP carcinogens, requires pressure vessels, hazardous material permits ❌ (food)
O₃ (Ozone): Strongest oxidant but requires on-site generation, equipment investment >500 million VND ⚠️
